New Teacher at Prima - Keeran Greener
SUMMER SCHOOL 2009 - LAST FEW PLACES REMAINING
Welcome to Prima School of Performing Arts, established in 1997. We currently hold dance classes throughout the week in Washington, Tyne & Wear. A few ballet classes also started in Gosforth in September 2008. Children can join dance classes at Prima from the age of about 2 years old and we have various dance classes for children of all ages as well as adults.
Most dance lessons are held in fully equipped dance studios with barres and sprung dance floors, the ideal environment. Most of our classes moved into brand new studios in September 2006.

We hold regular dance exams and there are various performing opportunities available. We run a Dance Troupe and also enter students for some competitions.
We aim to offer enjoyable classes whilst striving to achieve a high standard of dance and performing arts. All class sizes are limited which means that all students get the attention they deserve and are therefore able to develop their performing arts skills to their full potential. Many students decide they wish to take classes just for fun which is fine and these students won’t miss out on other opportunities.

However, at Prima students can train to the high technical standard required for entry into good full time vocational dance and musical theatre colleges, for those that have the ability and desire to pursue that avenue! Evidence of this is shown in our vocational exam results and past success in students being accepted at vocational colleges. Students serious about dance and the performing arts are advised to follow our discounted Scholar Programme as a high level of commitment is required. It simply isn't possible to reach the standard necessary by attending just one or two dance classes per week beyond a certain age.
So if you’re looking for professional dance training, the opportunity to get fit or just have some fun, Prima caters to all needs. I hope you decide to give us a try.
