Prima students have been accepted and often gone on to train with scholarships at:
- Northern Ballet School, Manchester
- Preston Professional Dance College, Preston
- Newcastle College, Newcastle
Prima is 11 years old and we now seem to have reached the stage where students we have been teaching for a number of years are at the level where they wish to go on to train to become professional dancers/singers/teachers etc. Listed below are the major successes (and forthcoming auditions/vocational exams) of our current and former students to date (for child protection names are not given of students under 16 years of age).
April 2008 - 2 students will audition for the Junior Associate Programme of the Royal Ballet School - this programme is intended to prepare students for possible entry into the Royal Ballet School at 11 years of age.
February 2008 - 15 year old student accepted at Northern Ballet School & Ballet West to train to become a professional ballet dancer.
July 2008 - Former student, Rebecca Scott (now at vocational dance college), taking RAD Advanced 2 Ballet exam
July 2008 - 3 students taking RAD Intermediate Foundation Ballet exam
July 2008: 16 year old student taking RAD Intermediate Ballet exam
April 2008: 2 students performing with the English Youth Ballet
January 2008 - 15 year old student through to 2nd round of Dance Catalogue Model audition
November 2007: 2 students successfully auditioned to join the English Youth Ballet
July 2007: 15 year old student awarded financial scholarship for the Professional Dancers course at Preston College
July 2007: 15 year old student passed IDTA Intermediate Modern Jazz exam with Highly Commended
July 2007: 15 year old student passed RAD Advanced 1 Ballet exam with Merit
May 2007: 15 year old student accepted onto the Professional Dancers course at Preston College
May 2007: 9 year old student successfully auditioned for 'We Will Rock You', she will be performing in the show at the Sunderland Empire in August
April 2007: 7 of Prima's students reached the Regional Finals for Festival4Stars
April 2007: Laura Douglas, Sara Lumley & a 15 year old student were all accepted at Sage Academy, Newcastle
April 2007: Laura Douglas accepted onto dance course at Newcastle College
March 2007: 15 year old student accepted onto dance and musical theatre course at SLP Dance College, Leeds WITH SCHOLARSHIP
January 2007: Sara Lumley accepted onto dance and musical theatre course at SLP Dance College, Leeds
November 2006: 3 of Prima's students were placed in the UKA Cheerleading Competition in Blackpool
October 2006: 11 year old student successful in RAD Intermediate Foundation Ballet exam
July 2006: 14 year old student successful in RAD Intermediate Ballet exam
July 2006: Two 14 year old students successful in RAD Intermediate Foundation Ballet exam
January 2006: Jade Harrison graduated from RAD CBTS Programme (Teacher Training) through Prima
August 2005: 3 students performed with the English Youth Ballet
July 2005: 13 year old student successful in RAD Intermediate Foundation Ballet exam
July 2005: Frances Barrett successful in IDTA Intermediate Modern Jazz exam
January 2005: 3 students successfully auditioned to join the English Youth Ballet
September 2004: Jade Harrison accepted onto RAD CBTS Programme (Teacher Training)
May 2004: 9 year old student became a reserve for the Royal Ballet School's Junior Associate Programme
July 2003: 13 year old student successful in RAD Intermediate Foundation Ballet exam
July 2003: 14 year old student successful in RAD Intermediate Foundation Ballet exam
February 2003: 15 year old student accepted onto full time dance and musical theatre course at SLP Dance College, Leeds WITH SCHOLARSHIP
July 2002: 15 year old student successful in RAD Intermediate Ballet exam
July 2002: Jade Harrison successful in RAD Intermediate Ballet Ballet exam
