Prima stages it’s own production in a professional theatre once a year. This alternates between Ballet & Musical Theatre one year and Tap, Jazz, Street, Cheer & Musical Theatre the following year. Our next performance is in January 2010 and is based on the Musical Wicked and the world's greatest pop idols. Performances are usually held in the Customs House in South Shields.
Most students have the opportunity to take part in these performances. It is a chance for the children to dress in full costume and go on stage to show off their skills to an audience of family and friends.
Most rehearsals are held during normal class times so there is no need to attend extra classes except for a couple of weeks before the show. All performances are professionally filmed with videos and DVDs available for purchase.
