Prima School of Performing Arts

Prima stages it’s own performance once every two years which most students have the opportunity to take part in.  It is a chance for the children to dress in full costume and go on stage to show off their skills to an audience of family and friends.

Rehearsals are held during normal class times so there is no need to attend extra classes. All performances are professionally filmed with videos and DVDs available for purchase.

In the past we have successfully presented:

— “Beatrix Potter & Friends” and “The Spicettes”

— “Cinderella” and “Steppers”

— “Magic Moments”

— “The Nutcracker” and “Disco Divas”

— “Coppélia” and “ABBA DABBA DOO!”

— “Magic Moments 2006”

In addition to the official Prima performances, many students are offered other opportunities to perform.  In the past, these have included:

— Disneyland Paris

— Edinburgh Festival

— International Festival of Kites, Music & Dance

— Sunderland International Airshow

— Tyne Theatre, Newcastle

— Sunderland Empire Theatre

— Gala Theatre, Durham

— Forum Theatre, Billingham

— Various clubs, centres and church halls in the region
